WOMB FESTIVAL – JUNETEENTH FREEDOM & LIBERATION CELEBRATION
AUDACIOUSLY PRESENTED BY WISDOM INSTITUTE
Detroit, MI – June 19, 2024 — The Wisdom Institute will present its 3rd gathering of women and men who celebrate the power and strength of womb consciousness. All are invited to join Wisdom at Shed 6 on Belle Isle in Detroit, June 19, 11 am – 3 pm. The Womb Festival mixes womb wellness, creativity, community connection, children’s art contest, storytelling, vendors and food. “It is a day that Black women and our accomplices are answering Wisdom’s call to honor and recognize our wombs as sacred portals. We are pushing for bodily autonomy, health and wellness across the full spectrum of reproductive justice”, said Cicely Allen, Co-Director.
An exciting panel of medical and healing professionals and practitioners, a diverse lineup of performers, womb inspired artists, and speakers are on program to engage and inspire like-minded individuals, organizations, and businesses who are leaning into reproductive freedom.
“The Womb Festival is designed to lift history and societal shifts to continue to ground us in the evolutionary revolutionary love that has led us into deep connections on Wisdom’s path to transformational solidarity”, Allen said.
