Stacey Johnson has been writing professionally since December 2011. She launched her company Stacey J Productions LLC soon after retiring from the Inkster Police Department as a Road Patrol and Community Relations Officer. 

She has written plays and a movie with topics such as teen pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, Alzeihmers, more recently Human Trafficking and soon Fentanyl. She considers herself an “Artist with a Cause.” She strongly believes in advocacy. 

She attended Martin Luther King HS where she fell in love with Theater. She learned how to write plays through a weekend Playwright Guild (DPS partnered) program with the Attic Theater at the age of fourteen. 

She intends to tackle thought provoking issues that plague many in her native home of Detroit, MI. 

When she is not writing she enjoys her husband, two children and cat, along with cooking, traveling, kayaking, swimming, cycling, and walking. 

She is a public speaker and enjoys “Sounding the Alarm” about the dangerous lure of Human Trafficking, and Cyber Safety within schools districts, summer camps, churches, and various organizations. She has committed her life to advocacy through the arts, public speaking and soon children’s books. She advocates from the perspective of prevention and awareness with a comprehensive approach to identifying risk factors, and working in marginal communities to reduce trafficking.  

She is a Breast Cancer Survivor and living life with no regrets. She has written a book chronicling her journey with breast cancer.
