We are seeking artist for our 2024 Coloring Book. Deadline is June 18
Following the success of our 2021 and 2022 voter education and voter rights coloring book, the Wisdom Institute is producing a Voting is a Superpower Coloring Book in 2024! Will you support us by submitting artwork advocating the super power of voting?
The coloring book, featuring artwork by African-American artists, will be used to raise awareness of the voting process, to encourage an increase in voter registration and participation of African-American households with children under the age of 13 in the 2022 election. Illustrations are due: June 18, 2024!
Wisdom Institute is an African American woman and girl-focused nonprofit in Detroit operating in Detroit voting Districts 1, 2 and 6. Our mission is to help lift the determination of women and girls to further advance the quality of our lives, livelihood and leadership. We believe the superpower of voting ensures that we have access to clean, affordable water, a lawyer for Detroiters facing eviction and bodily autonomy.
Wisdom Institute is seeking artists of all ages to submit digitized sketches inspired by voters rights and voter education. and advocacy issues of water affordability, right to counsel for those facing eviction and reproductive justice. Art should include representations of African American culture. The coloring book will be published and distributed to communities throughout the Detroit area.
Selected artists will receive a stipend and credit for their contribution. If you’re interested in using your artistry to advocate for justice, please send an email to:
